After School Study

Download and Print After School Study Form For All Other Years

Management and staff at St. Brogan’s College, in response to numerous requests from students and others, are keen to recommence its popular After-School Study programme this year.

However, the programme, which runs from 4.00 to 5.00 p.m. for first years and 4.00 to 6.00 p.m. for other students each evening, Monday-Friday, must be self-financing as per a recent directive from County Cork Vocational Education Committee. This means that the cost of After-School Study to parents/guardians will rise considerably.

To satisfy the requirements of the VEC, the following criteria must be met before the programme can commence:
  • A minimum of forty (40) students must enrol for the programme.
  • The €100 fee for the period, September-December, must be paid in advance.
  • Cheques should be made payable to St. Brogan’s College:
    Cash will also be accepted.
Note: All monies received will be receipted – and refunded should the programme not commence as envisaged.

After-School Study Rules:
  • Roll will be called at the commencement of each session.
  • Absences must be followed by a note from parent/guardian.
  • Early departures must also be certified by a parent/guardian.
  • Students and parents/guardians must agree, in writing, to observe the rules which apply to the programme.
  • Students must obey all directions of the After-School Study supervisors.
  • A strict Code of Silence will apply at each supervised session.
